Behaviors a client uses to avoid making a choice.
A client seeks help with a tough choice. To help them make that choice, the consultant shows the client some relevant facts. When the client avoids acknowledging those facts or their consequences, that’s resistance.
These facts may be about the decision-making environment (“fewer people are searching for web hosting services”), or they may be about the client’s behavior (“you’re talking over your subordinates when they speak up in meetings”).
The See & Name habit shows the client their behavior and encourages them to engage with the way it holds them back from making better decisions.
